Executive Summary

The Ghana Academia Summit & Awards, organized by The Business Executive (TBE) Communications Group, is a national initiative created to recognize outstanding educational institutions and individuals who are advancing quality, accessible and globally competitive education in Ghana.

The inaugural edition scheduled for July 17, 2026 seeks to support national efforts to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness of Ghana’s education sector across both public and private institutions. The awards highlight educators, institutions and organizations producing high-quality graduates and driving innovation in teaching, research and academic support services.

The Nominations

ELIGIBILITY TO NOMINATE

The general public is eligible to nominate potential award winners in each sector. Both self-nominations and third party nominations are allowed. However each person is only allowed one set of nominations in which the person nominates ONE person for each sector. In the event that multiple sets of nominations are made by one person all of those nominations would be disqualified.
Eligibility for Awards

The awards recognize excellence among institutions and individuals contributing to academic development in Ghana.

• Accredited schools from pre-school to tertiary level
• Technical and vocational education institutions
• Distance learning institutions
• Academic research institutions
• Suppliers of textbooks, ICT and academic services
• Student placement and education support organizations
• Education regulators and accreditation bodies
• Education entrepreneurs, institutional leaders and academic professionals
NOMINATION COSTS

There are no costs whatsoever for entering nominations. Nominations are completely free of charge.
NOMINATION TIMELINES & PROCEDURE

Nominations open on Monday, 30th March 2026 and closes on Friday, June 30. This makes for a two week window for entering nominations.
